Best Year Ever!

January 2012

We welcome all of you to 2012!

The New Year is always an exciting time, a time to reflect on the past year, while having new hopes, dreams, and goals for the New Year ahead!

At Family First we are so thankful to God for all of you who prayed, encouraged, supported, and worked along side us accomplishng so many wonderful things in 2011.

Throughout the year hundreds of mothers, fathers, gandparents, teens, and children were taught, encouraged, and given some help along the way. Thousands of dollars of baby clothes, diapers, blankets, formula, and furniture were given to those who were in need.

All received hugs, encouragement, and love from God our Father through you and the staff at Family First! It truly was the best year ever! But you know, I believe this year will be even better!

I received a word from the Lord for us for the New Year. It comes from Jeremiah 29:7;  The Lord said, "Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into and pray to the Lord on it's behalf; for in it's welfare you will have welfare."

Most of us will not go to the jungles of Africa or to any foreign land as missionaries to reach people in need.

But God is telling us all: 'Let's help out the people in the community where I have sent you! Reach out right in the community where you live; pray for your community! If your community thrives--you will thrive!'  We are taking that to heart in 2012, looking to reach out farther than ever, looking to help more families than ever!

As the word encourages the older women to encourage the younger, Titus 2:3-4, our staff is ready to pray, stand along side and help any way we can. We are looking to reach more teens in our  "Ten for Teens" program. More than ever our teens need mentors to teach, support, and train them for the future!

We are looking for more moms than ever having their children, we are there every step of the way from pre-natal classes all the way to parenting. Last year we had a great year for our fatherhood program, this year we look to expand that program!

We pray to God for you and your families for 2012, that God will bless you, stretch you, and do great things through you! Get involved where God has sent you! We pray you will continue to work along side us at Family First as we partner together reaching out to our community so desperately in need of hope!
